Harassment investigator Mission My mission consists in providing harassment investigation in the work place. The investigation consists in appraising all circumstances of a situation or when a harassment complaint has been deposited, which permits to establish the pertinent elements of proof necessary to ascertain the presence of harassment in the work environment. |

Career history I am a harassment investigator since 2001. My twenty-five years experience as a Peace Officer, including personnel management within the Department of National Defence (DND) has enabled me to acquire the required competences profile of a harassment investigator. I joined the DND Harassment Investigation bureau, a team of experts with a notorious reputation in this particular area. I completed the facilitator and harassment investigator formations and concurrently, this bureau entrusted me with harassment investigations under the federal policy. With a wealth of investigations regarding every types of harassment in the workplace, in both official languages and in different provinces for DND, I also trained their new investigators; I accompanied, supervised and coached these investigators in their apprenticeships. Furthermore, in 2007, I participated as instructor in the English 'Train the Trainers' course, which is the formation given to the future DND instructors responsible to administer the Investigator's course in their respective provinces. Since 2001, I formed several hundreds of professionals with the Standard for Harassment and Racism Prevention (SHARP) presentation, a memorable experience. In August 2009, I became a DND moderator for the Ethics formation in the work place. Subsequent to the official projet de Loi 143 des Normes du travail du Québec, I formally started my own company, Yvon Brooks Inc., in September 2005 and offered my harassment investigator services to the Quebec enterprises. |
